Armchair Fundraiser
Dear TVHS Music family,
We’re all busy families, and as members of the TVMBC, we’ve taken feedback from our TVHS community to heart. This year, we’re trying a different type of fundraiser - an Armchair Fundraiser! Our goal is to raise $4,000, which represents 40% of our overall fundraising goal.
WHAT’S AN “ARMCHAIR” FUNDRAISER AND HOW LONG DOES IT RUN?
It’s called an “Armchair Fundraiser” because you don’t need to leave your chair to support all of our TVMBC educational, performance, and competition programs. This fundraiser will replace the many dining out nights we’ve promoted in years past, which will save our music families time and money (since the funds come directly to TVMBC rather than the 10% - 20% generated by restaurant nights). We also plan to skip having our students sell anything - no more butter braids or cookie dough! The fundraiser starts August 28th and ends December 15th.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
All funds raised by TVMBC go towards enhancing and enriching the experience of all TVHS music students. One of the most important aspects of having a Music Booster Club is that we are a nimble source of funds that our directors can tap into without needing a purchase order or school or district approval to make a purchase that directly benefits our music students.
HOW MUCH DO YOU RECOMMEND I CONTRIBUTE?
The Armchair fundraiser is fairly new for our organization, and the only one in which nearly 100% of proceeds (everything other than credit card processing fees) go directly to programs benefiting every music student. If you can, we suggest $100 per family – but any gift goes a long way and no amount is too small. Consider forwarding this message to your music student’s grandparents, aunts and uncles, and other important adults in their lives. Some companies even match their employees’ donations so don't forget to check in with your HR departments and just let them know that TVMBC is a 501(c3) non-profit (documentation can be provided).
